The REMIND-studies initially started in a collaboration with Radboud UMC, mainly through close collaboration with Prof. Dr. Rob Aarnoutse. Radboud UMC has a large role in capacity building in KCRI.

AIGHD

Amsterdam Institute for Global Health & Development plays a large role in the current REMIND-KID study as the main supervisor of our PhD students is based there. Also, the principal investigator, Marion Sumari, holds a research fellow position at AIGHD.

Wisepill

Wisepill is a company-based in Cape Town, South Africa that manufactures electronic pillboxes. The Wisepill electronic pillbox is designed to monitor patient adherence and to provide instant feedback by cell phone messaging. Unlike the many reminder systems that nag users to remember to take their medicine, a system was created to remind users when they forget. By applying this innovative methodology, Wisepill is able to demonstrate a significant improvement in adherence.
