Tanzania Health Summit

8th Tanzania Health Summit Meeting Agenda

THEME: “Leaving no one behind 2021-2026: Analyzing the promise, and tracking the progress

The commitment to ‘leave no one behind (LNOB) is a core principle of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the sustainable development goals (SDGs). The Tanzanian Government has also adopted it through the Ministry of Health Community Development, Gender, Elderly and Children (MoHCDGEC) ‘Leaving no one behind’ during the launching event of the Health Sector Strategic Plan Five (HSSP V) 2021 – 2026 (1). Leave no one behind puts equity at the center of national policy agendas, representing a critical improvement over the previous set of Millennium Development Goals(2), which were largely silent on the issue of social disparities.
