Kennedy is a researcher in the field of digital health. He has worked since ten years as system administrator at Kilimanjaro Clinical Research Institute with vast experience in implementing mobile health technology to improve patients’ treatment adherence and wellness. To date, he has successively coordinated four studies which used digital health tools to provide education on family planning, improve adherence to TB treatment and adherence to antiretroviral treatment among people living with HIV/AIDS. Through the REMIND HIV project, he obtained a PhD Scholarship and registered at the Amsterdam Medical Center (AMC), which is the hospital of the University of Amsterdam in the Netherlands and started on June 2017. His studies focus on investigating the effect of short message service (SMS) and real time medication monitoring (RTMM) on improve adherence to antiretroviral treatment, Kilimanjaro region. He has published five publications in this area.
