1st GSF International Women’s Day 2024

For the first time, the Good Samaritan Foundation celebrated International Women’s Day on April 9, 2024, at Kuringe Hall. All of its institutions, including KCMC, KCRI, KCMUCo, St. Luke, and ISM, participated in the celebration whereas over 500 women attended the event.

Before the event, there was free screening for indicators of breast and cervical cancer, blood pressure, diabetes, body mass index, as well as counseling and health and nutrition education. Over 300 women had the privilege of the opportunity to get free screening. 

The Remind Kid study recognized the importance of the event, and without hesitation, the PI of the project agreed to be among the sponsors of this memorable occasion. In a conversation with one of the staff members, she mentioned that she has been working at KCMC for more than 25 years but had never experienced or seen such a wonderful event. She encouraged that it should be a continuous event in the future.
