Zanzibar Write-Shop Empowers Tanzanian PhD and Master's Students to Advance Manuscripts and Grant Writing with EDCTP and EACCR Support

Last week, an intensive write-shop was held in Zanzibar for students from Tanzania funded by the European & Developing Countries Clinical Trials Partnership (EDCTP), with additional support from the East African Consortium for Clinical Research (EACCR). The event aimed to help participants make significant progress on their manuscripts using the highly effective Pomodoro technique, which promotes focused writing in short intervals.

Throughout the week, eight nearly complete draft manuscripts and one draft grant application were produced. The PhD an masters students from Remind Kid and EAPOC (KCRI) attended the training

The write-shop provided participants with a structured yet flexible setting that encouraged deep concentration on their academic writing, and by the end of the week, everyone had made remarkable strides toward their goals.
